Teaching

Maja Lisac Barroso obtained a Master of Music Performance and a Master of Pedagogics. For 12 years, she has been giving saxophone and group classes to students, adults, and pupils, and preparing them for music competitions and auditions.

Pedagogical concept

Having experienced the music education of Slovenia, Austria, and Switzerland, Maja Lisac‘s own teaching approach is a mix between the Eastern and Western teaching culture. Her emphasis is on developing a solid playing technique as well as experiencing the joy of music through playing and listening. Maja Lisac focuses on music education with clear instructions and induces a lot of self-responsibility so that the student learns how to motivate oneself. She constantly seeks the students’ individual strengths and limits and shows the student the possibilities to overcome the limits.

In order to assure a high level of pedagogics, Maja Lisac is a regular performer and attends various professional developments (Jazz classes, saxophone masterclasses, Dance, multidimensional teaching, the method Suzuki, early childhood music teaching, people with Adhd).

She currently teaches at following institutions

MUSIKHOCHSCHULE FREIBURG IM BREISGAU, GERMANY (for professional saxophone students)
